Samuel M. Mecum and Stephen Moniak Honored with Service Awards from LBA

Last week at the Annual Lancaster Bar Association Dinner, two Appel, Yost & Zee attorneys were honored with awards for their service to the LBA.

Samuel M. Mecum received the “Achievement Award” for his long standing dedication to the LBA. Samuel has been an LBA member for 49 years, and during his time he has had innumerable positions of leadership including, most notably, being the LBA President in 2006. Samuel also served as the chair of the Law Review for significant time periods and has received the Access to Justice Award in the past for his commitment to pro bono service.

Stephen Moniak received the inaugural “Bar Star Award”, which goes to a new LBA member who has done the most for the organization. In Steve’s short term with the LBA, he has become a Board member and helped with a Judiciary Task force.
