In recognition of National Child Abuse Prevention Month in April, PFSA will virtually honor Blue Ribbon Champions from across the Commonwealth who have gone the extra mile to protect PA children. These individuals are recognized for their exceptional contributions and efforts as we continue to make every effort to prevent child abuse and neglect throughout Pennsylvania. This recognition is also a reminder to us all that every child needs a champion, and anyone can be a champion. In addition to the recognition of our Blue Ribbon Champions for Safe Kids, PFSA will host a variety of other virtual activities and events throughout the month of April to raise awareness and educate others about child abuse prevention. Scheduled activities and events include a virtual fundraiser, flag planting at the Harrisburg Capitol, appearances from various special guests and an interactive map representing child abuse fatality data across PA counties. PFSA will also host an educational speaker event titled the Spotlight Speaker Series where expert speakers from the field provide relevant and timely presentations on topics that focus on child abuse prevention from a variety viewpoints.
