Stephen Moniak is a partner of the firm. With over 25 years of litigation experience, Steve serves as Chair of Appel Yost’s Civil & Commercial Litigation practice and is a member of the Employment & Labor Law practice. Prior to joining Appel Yost, Steve served as Senior Deputy Attorney General in the Pennsylvania Office of the Attorney General where he represented the Pennsylvania State Government and officials in significant cases of state-wide importance including election litigation and the constitutionality of state laws. Steve previously practiced in two Central Pennsylvania law firms, including an AMLaw200 law firm, where he practiced in the areas of litigation, education law, and employment and labor law for businesses and individuals. In service to the community, Steve serves on the Lancaster Bar Association Board of Directors. He previously served as a Court-Appointed Arbitrator and Chairperson of a Zoning Hearing Board. Steve has been honored as a SuperLawyer in the area of Business Litigation. He has also earned an AV Preeminent Martindale-Hubell Peer Review Rating for his high ethical standards. Steve earned his B.A. at the University of Pittsburgh, and his J.D. at Widener University School of Law.
